About Jon

Born in Long Island, Jon Leissler’s family moved to Lorain, Ohio when he was 4 years old. He later graduated from the former Lorain Southview High School before earning his bachelor’s in Accounting from Western Governor’s University and completing coursework for an MBA.

His experience includes work for private and public companies of all sizes, including time with Rhenium Alloys, Prism Powder Coating, Harley Davidson Dealer Systems, Joann Fabrics, GE Current, and others.

He was elected to the Stow-Munroe Falls Board of Education in November 2021 election, beating out two other Republicans, including the incumbent, for the spot, and also serves as the Treasurer for Stow-Munroe Falls FOPA Lodge No. 66 and on the NSBA Leadership Council.

Outside of his career and volunteer and endeavors, Jon has founded a first responder themed liquor brand, called Hero Spirits, along with Operation Saving the Brave, a 501(c)3 that donates a portion of sales to support first responders and their families.

In 2015, Jon married his wife Michelle, a lifelong resident of Ohio. Together they have twin daughters named Mila and Remi.
